All 52 cards are dealt face-up into 8 columns. Build the tableau down in alternating colors, and build the four foundations up from Ace to King by suit. The four free cells each hold one card — use them as temporary parking. You can move a stack of cards at once, but only as many as your free cells and empty columns allow: (free cells + 1) × 2^(empty columns). Nearly every deal is winnable — it's pure strategy, no luck.
Tip: keep a free cell open whenever you can, and don't bury Aces and Twos.
